In-Clinic Physiotherapy Appointments in keeping with the strictest HSE compliance guidelines
In keeping with Phase 1 of the Government and HSE Guidelines, we have been able to return to our 'In-Clinic" physiotherapy appointment schedule. With only a few adjustments to how we do it, we can get back hands on and treat our patients again.
HOW DOES "RETURN TO PHYSIO" WORK
...when you call us:
We will have a quick chat about your complaint or issue,
and if appropriate to continue for physio, we will forward you on some forms to fill out.
We will then book you in for a detailed conversation either online or over the phone, to get all the info we need prior to attending the clinic.
You then attend for a 15 minute 'hands-on' appointment.
IN A BIT MORE DETAIL:
STEP 1 : CALL US
If you feel that you are in need of physiotherapy, please ring 085 7836633 for information and/or an appointment, whereby I will have a quick chat with you about your complaint.
STEP 2 : GIVEN AN APPOINTMENT AND FORMS TO FILL UP
You will be given an appointment for an assessment either via online consultation or a phone call, whatever you feel most comfortable with.
You will be sent a link of a Registration Form and a Covid-19 Questionnaire to your phone or email to fill out. These need to be filled prior to the online consultation / phone call.
STEP 3 : YOU ATTEND THE CLINIC FOR THE "HANDS-ON" SESSION
If it is deemed necessary to attend the clinic, you will be given a physio appointment in our clinic, with a confirmation email sent (this is important to have available in case you are stopped by Gardai and asked about the essential nature of the journey)
When the patient arrives for their physiotherapy appointment. They will be asked to wait in the car till they are called in by their physiotherapist. (This is to avoid any cross-over with other patients or practitioners, and give us time to decontaminate all equipment used and all surfaces touched by the patients, i.e. from the physio bed to the door handle. This takes us 15 minutes per )patient to do.
STEP 4 : THE "HANDS-ON" TREATMENT
You will be invited into the building and asked to follow the arrows to the meeting space, where you will be provided with hand sanitizer, a face mask and gloves.
Once you are in your protective gear, and the physio is in their protective gear i.e. full surgical gown, facemask, face visor and gloves. You will be asked to come into the treatment room for the 15 minute consultation (in keeping with the legislative measures enforced by the Government and the HSE).
As we will have all the information prior to the session, your physio will try to maximize the 15 minutes of contact time with as much practical work as possible so the patient can get the most out of the session.
Once we maximized the treatment session, your physio will send you further information via email or text such as exercises, further information, and a follow-up consultation if needed, so you have all you need to get over your injury.
