A fully licensed Chartered Physiotherapist with current membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, I, Cian McDonnell, am Gold Standard's Head Physiotherapist/Performance Scientist. A former Nenagh C.B.S student, I later attended University College Dublin, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physiotherapy and Performance Science Degree.

Upon graduation, I continued to develop my expertise whilst working in highly-respected private practices in Ireland, the United States and New Zealand. Experienced and trusted, my extensive list of past clients include the victorious All Blacks' Rugby World Cup winning team, the Otago Rugby 7's squad, Irish and Scottish International Soccer teams, Limerick F.C, the Offaly Senior Hurling team, and UCD’s Senior Hurling & Gaelic Football teams. Knowledgeable in all disciplines of the field, I'm particularly skilled in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries with a particular emphasis on Exercise Prescription.

Possessing also an in-depth knowledge of Performance Science, I have used this skill-set of mine to help many household names (such as NZ Rugby icon Joe Rokocoko & NFL star Raonall Smith of the Minnesota Vikings) to realise their full potential. Continuously striving to provide my valued customers with the most up-to-date of services, I hold numerous Post-Graduate qualifications, such as a Masters in Sports Performance, NSCA CSCS Accreditation, ISPAS Video Analysis Accreditation, ISAK Accreditation, a Sports Traumatology Graduate Diploma, a Manual Concepts Certificate, a Langer Group Orthotic Prescription Certificate, a Western Acupuncture Certificate and an Instrumental Manual Therapy Certificate.

A former Fitzgibbon Cup hurler as well as a member of the Burgess GAA Club, I have a strong interest in all sports (including Football, Soccer, Rugby, Golf, Athletics and Extreme, amongst others), which enables me to bring a sporting touch to my work.
