Could you introduce yourself?!

Hi, my name is Pam, and I’ve been Gold Standard's Office Manager / Senior Administrator since the summer of 2021! Prior to then, I was doing some part-time secretarial work for Gold Standard but Cian offered me the expanded role on a full time basis so here I now am!

Originally from Nenagh but now living a few miles outside the town in Ballywilliam, I’m married to Mike, and am a busy mother of three to Stephaine, Michael and Annie!!

Could you describe your role at Gold Standard?

It's a broad-ranging one for sure! Down the years, I accumulated professional experience in all aspects of management, accounting, office administration and customer service. It is this experience and the associated skill-sets that I as Gold Standard's Office Manager put most to use here.

​

As the Front of House, I also try to ensure all feel wholly welcome, wanting everyone to have a really positive experience with us.

What is the best part of the job?
I love meeting people who come into the clinic and having a chat with them :-) Some can be a bit nervous when they come in for the first time so I always try to make them feel genuinely welcome and at ease before they meet one of the team (who are all very caring types, I must say).

​

I also love to see the positive change in people after attending one of our Physiotherapists, and the difference just a few sessions can make to them both physically and mentally. It's amazing.

​

What kind of personal interests do you have?

I absolutely love sport! You’ll probably find me on the sideline at one of my children’s matches, whether it be Camogie, Hurling, Soccer, Handball or Rugby!

​

I also love the atmosphere of going to a Tipperary hurling match!

​

Away from sport, nothing can beat a good concert or gig!! (Preferably a Rock one!!)

Tell us some things about yourself that others may not know?!

In my teenage years, I played a lot of Hockey and Soccer.

I actually captained my School Soccer team to an All Ireland Final!

​

I also played Rugby for a year with Nenagh Ormond Rugby club's women’s team, and won a Division Three All Ireland medal!!

​

The closest I get to playing sport now as a busy mother is a little walk around the pitch while my kids train, haha!!!
