Last Saturday, our Founding Member, Cian McDonnell, joined some great friends of the Clinic (namely Eoin Kelly, Tommy Connors, Hughie Flannery, Mark OโFlaherty, Liam Kelly, Brian McCormack and Trevor Connolly) for a challenging day in support of a really important local cause.
Within a 24-hour period, the group set out to climb the highest mountain in each of Irelandโs 4 provinces, all to help raise funds for the ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐บ๐ต๐ป๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ฒ in Nenagh - a service that makes an enormous difference to local families that are unfortunately affected by cancer.
Completing this significant challenge would require the group to travel a distance of 1,420 kilometres by road. Each team member would need to take 75,000 steps, and burn over 12,000 calories to conquer a total ascent of 3,627 metres across:
โข Lugnaquilla (Co. Wicklow)
โข Slieve Donard (Co. Down)
โข Mweelrea (Co. Mayo) and
โข Carrauntoohill (Co. Kerry)
Blessed with fine weather and buoyed by great support, the group thankfully managed to complete the challenge with half an hour to spare.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who helped make the initiative a success - from our dedicated drivers and coordinators, James and Andy, to the more than 540 supporters whose generous donations have raised over โฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ so far.

Once again, thank you so much for your heartwarming support.
